The brand adored by Leonie Hanne, Negin Mirsalehi and Jessica de Oliviera, is known for its flawless reception dresses, but this year Alina Balykina, the founder of her eponymous label, brings her craft to the new step and introduces the range of dresses for the wedding ceremony created to celebrate the beauty and grace of the brides.
The collection itself consists of BALYKINA’s iconic hourglass silhouettes with addition of new fabrics and techniques that require intricate and attentive work: for this Bridal capsule, the brand’s seamstresses work mostly manually, and the creation of particular dresses takes up several days of teamwork e.g. AZALEA Dress with flower appliqués is made within 5 days by four people, and the lace pattern of ANABELLE dress has to be laid out manually to ensure its parts are matched to each other. One of the most standout pieces of the collection, ADENA dress features the skirt made of dozens of meters of snowy white, lightweight voile, giving the bride’s movements such airiness as if she is levitating.
Balykina follows her brand’s DNA that revolves around creating transformative pieces that can be worn in versatile ways by experimenting with decorative elements. And the new Bridal collection is no exception: it includes the accessories, the purpose of which is to easily change the look - gloves, scarves and detachable trails of a different length.
